A trader was left seriously injured after being attacked by a group of unidentified youth over an alleged parking tussle at Mission Compound area here.
The incident took place last night when trade leader Anurag Malik was returning home after shutting down his shop. Malik had a bitter quarrel with some youth over moving a car, SP Mahendra Yadav said.
The group then reached Malik's house and attacked him with sticks, he said, adding that the attackers fled from the spot after the crime.
Malik, who was seriously injured in the attack was shifted to the district hospital where his condition is stated to be critical, police said.
An FIR in this connection has been lodged at Sadar Bazar police station and further investigation is underway, they added.
