LPG tanker overturned, one killed

A tanker knocked into a parked truck killing one person and injuring three sitting in a shop seriously on National Highway at Tekkatte in Kundapur in Udupi district today.

The deceased was identified as Annappa Poojary (53) belonging to Tekkatte .

The speeding gas tanker was plying from Maharashtra to Mangaluru. The accident occurred as the driver veered the steering towards extreme left and rammed into a parked truck and dragged towards a nearby shop.

Annappa and the three other persons were sitting in the shop.

Annappa died on the spot.

The injured are being treated at a Hospital in Koteshwar, police sources said.
