Puducherry Lt Governor A K Singh and Chief Minister N Rangasamy extended greetings to the people of Puducherry on the eve of Diwali.
In his message the Lt Governor said, Diwali also known as Festival of Lights, signifies victory of good over evil and victory of light over dark. He said that "the lights that illuminate our homes and hearts empower us to commit ourselves to good deeds". He wished that the festival of lights brightened lives of the people with good health, wealth, knowledge, fame and ushered in joy and happiness in all homes'.
Chief Minister said in his message that the festival was highlighting the virtues of good thoughts. Ego and ignorance should be eradicated and bright thoughts and commitment to discharge duties should reign supreme. He wished the people a happy festival.
