Lt Guv bats for comprehensive development for Andaman, Nicobar

Lt Governor of Andaman and Nicobar, Lt General A K Singh envisions a comprehensive development for Andaman and Nicobar islands.

"My vision is to carry out comprehensive development as it is mini India and strategic part of the country. It has 94 percent forest reserve, so the development has to be made under ecological and social considerations. Welfare of the original tribe would be our priority," Singh told reporters after Basantar Day celebrations.

"We are net security provider as it has first tri-service Command of India which includes Army, Navy and Air force," he added.
