M S Prabhakar Rao elected to AP council

Congress candidate M S Prabhakar Rao was today elected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council from Hyderabad Local Authorities' Constituency in the biennial elections.

Rao was the only candidate in the fray and he had been declared elected unopposed, an official release said.

Today was the last date for withdrawal of nominations.
