Maha: Corporator held in abduction and murder case

Police today arrested a BJP corporator in connection with alleged abduction and killing of a person in 2015.

The accused Hemant Shetty, represents the party in the Nashik civic body from ward number 4D, a senior police official said.

The other accused -- Kundan Pardeshi and Rakesh Koshti -- presently lodged at Nashik Road central jail in another murder case, were also apprehended in connection with the case yesterday, he said.

The trio is accused of abducting and killing one Jalinder alias Jwalya Ugalmugale in October 2015, said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Laxmikant Patil said.

They were produced before a Nashik court which sent them to police custody till June 1, he said.
 

Earlier, two other accused Avinash Kaulkar and Rohit Kadale were arrested for their alleged role in the case, said the officer.
