Main accused in eatery shootout case arrested

Police have arrested main accused in the firing incident at a roadside restaurant on Delhi-Loni border.

Acting on a tip off, police arrested Bunty, resident of Bagh Ranp colony of the town yesterday, SHO, Loni Border, Virender Yadav said.

One .315 bore country made pistol, two live cartridges and the motorcycle used during the shootout have been seized from his possession, he said.

Bunty and three of his accomplices, allegedly in an inebriated condition, had fired upon a waiter of the restaurant following an altercation over bill on September 7.

The other accused had already been arrested. Bunty was booked under section 307 IPC (attempt to murder) and sent to jail, Yadav added.
