Maize prices up on uptick in demand

In restricted activity, maize prices edged up by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on scattered demand from consuming industries.

However, other grains held steady in thin trade.

Traders attributed the rise in maize prices to some demand from consuming industries.

In the national capital, maize traded higher by Rs 10 to Rs 1,280-1,285 per quintal.
