Malayalam actor condemns Kathua rape incident

today condemned the alleged gangrape and murder of an eight-year old girl from in and Kashmir, saying she was 'ashamed' of the incident.

The eight-year old girl from the nomadic Bakerwal Muslim community disappeared near her house on January 10 in and Kashmir's district. A week later, her body was found in the same area.

A Special Investigation Team of the Crime Branch, formed to probe the incident, has arrested eight people, including two special police officers (SPOs) and a head constable and a Sub-inspector, who were charged with destroying evidence.
