Renowned Malayalam playback singer Radhika Thilak passed away at a private hospital here today, her family sources said. She was 45.
Thilak was diagnosed with cancer one-and-a half years back and had since been under medication. She is survived by husband Suresh Krishna and a daughter.
A popular face on Doordarshan, Thilak had sung in around 70 Malayalam films including, 'Guru', 'Ottayal Pattalam' and 'Deepasthambham Mahashcharyam'. She was also known for her stage programmes.
Thilak was taken to hospital from her Panampally Nagar residence this evening with fever. She lost her battle against cancer at 8.15 PM, hospital sources said.
