Malayalam script writer T A Razzaq passes away

Noted Malayalam script writer T A Razzaq passed away at a private hospital here tonight.

Hospital sources said Razzaq died while undergoing treatment for some ailment.

Razzaq (58), contributed hits like "Perumazhakkalam" to the Malayalam film world.

Razzaq, who began his career as a scriptwriter in 1991 for Mohanlal-starred "Vishnulokam", worked for about 30 Malayalam movies.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled his demise.

"Razzaq's demise is a a big loss for Malayalam film industry," he said.
