Man arrested for illegal possession of deer horns

A 36-year old man was arrested today for illegally possessing deer horns in his house near Manjoor, about 25 KMs from here.

Based on a tip off, forest department officials raided the house of Manikandan in Melgottai and found five samba deer horns kept illegally, department sources said.

Registering a case under Wild Life Act, Manikandan was produced before the court and remanded to the custody and lodged in the Sub-Jail here, they said.
