A man was today arrested from Anantnag district of Jammu Kashmir for allegedly posting a school's photograph on social media and making a derogatory comment about it, police said.
Ishtiyaq Ahmad Sofi was arrested after the principal of K Y International School, Anantnag, filed a complaint, alleging he had posted the photograph of some school kids taking bath in a tub inside the school premises and made a derogatory comment about it, a police spokesman said.
The principal also submitted the photograph, which was uploaded by Sofi on his Facebook wall, to police, alleging "the accused projected it in such a manner that it has not only defamed the school but also created an environment that may disturb the public order".
"A case under Section 505(b) RPC was registered and investigation taken up. During the course of investigation, it surfaced that the said person had done this act for personal interests," the spokesman said.
