Man arrested for murdering of woman

After evading arrest for over a month, a man, accused of killing a 60-year-old woman, has landed in police net in Shamli district.

Roshni Devi was shot dead on August 5 after she found Tilkuram in an objectionable position with another woman and threatened to disclose the matter in Jhinjhana town of the district, police said here.

Police had announced a reward of Rs 5,000 on any information leading to the arrest of Tilkuram, SHO R N Yadav said.

The accused was arrested yesterday and during interrogation he confessed to the crime, Yadav said.
