Man arrested, over 2 kg marijuana seized

A man has been arrested from Vijaynagar area here with over 2 kg of marijuana and for allegedly being involved in betting rackets, the police said today.

Mohammad Ayyaz was arrested with 2.3 kg of marijuana and during interrogation he confessed to having been involved in betting rackets, SP (City) Akash Tomar said.

The accused has been been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and for gambling, the officer said.
