Man attempts suicide after argument with father

A man allegedly attempted to commit suicide after a heated argument with his father, a police officer said today.

Mohit, a resident of Surajpur, had an argument with his father constable Amar Singh yesterday, following which he tried to commit suicide by shooting himself with a pistol, said Surajpur police station incharge Akhilesh Pradhan.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is stated to be critical, Pradhan said.
