Man awarded life term for murder

A local court today convicted a man in a murder case of 2013 and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

Additional District and Sessions judge Sudhakar Singh awarded the punishment to Bhikhar Yadav for the murder of Ranjit Yadav, a resident of Agrail village under Sindhiya police station in Samastipur district.

According to prosecution, Ranjit Yadav was killed on the day of his wedding on January 18, 2013, as a gunshot fired on the occasion hit the bridegroom at Mahisaut village under Kusheshwar Asthan police station of Darbhanga district.
