Man booked for raping daughter-in-law

The victim, a resident of Sahnewal had complained to police against her father-in-law Nahar Singh alleging that he raped her.

After a preliminary inquiry, a case was registered against Singh, police said.

In her complaint to police, the woman said that she was married to the son of the accused in 2000 and her husband had gone abroad in 2006.

She alleged that her father-in-law raped her when her mother-in-law was not at home.
