A man, who was carrying a reward of Rs one lakh on his head, was arrested along with his three aides from Kharagpur, West Bengal, a senior police officer today said.
"The prime accused in the murder of a contractor Vijay Pandey in Jamshedpur in June last year, Manoj Sarkar was evading arrest for which police announced a reward of Rs one lakh on his head," Senior Superintendent of Police Anoop T Mathew said.
Acting on an information, a police team headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (Law and Order), Vimal Kumar conducted a raid in Kharagpur and arrested Sarkar along with his aides Dominque Samsung, Adhir Pradhan and Hari Mahato yesterday, he said.

Two loaded country-made pistols, two live cartridges, 48 sets of mobile phones and a motorcycle were seized from them, Mathew, who accompanied Kumar, said.
Seven criminal cases including murder were pending against Sarkar in Keonjhar district of Odisha, Chakradharpur, West Singhbhum, Kuchai and Amda police stations of Seraikela-Kharswan district and different police stations of Jamshedpur and in the case of Pandey, who was shot dead on June 9 last year, while he was returning home.
Apart from Sarkar, Mathew said his aides Titu Sharma, Mohan Rao and Parvez Alam were allegedly involved in the killing of Pandey.
Police was also in search of the other accused, who are at large. Sharma has been arrested and forwarded to judicial custody in the past, Mathew said.
