Man commits suicide after attacking wife with acid

A 35-year-old man allegedly committed suicide after attacking his wife with acid in Kathari Khurd village, police said today.

Dharmendra threw acid on his 31-year-old wife Manorama yesterday following a dispute, they said, adding, the couple's one-year-old son, in her lap, was also injured in the incident.

The accused later committed suicide by hanging himself.

The woman was referred to Gorakhpur Medical College hospital in serious condition, police said.
