Man commits suicide in Muzaffarnagar

A 30-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in Bihari village in the district, police said today.

The deceased identified as Khalid was found hanging from a ceiling fan yesterday. Police is trying to ascertain the exact reason behind the suicide but prima facie it is being believed that a dispute with his wife, was a possible reason behind the extreme step, they said.

Meanwhile, in another incident of suicide in the district, a 25-year-old youth Sonu, killed himself by jumping before a moving train yesterday.

The body has been sent for post mortem and investigations are on to ascertain the reason behind the suicide, police said.
