A court in Bihar's Vaishali district today sentenced a man to seven years' RI and imposed on him Rs 500 as fine after finding him guilty of commiting rape over five years ago.
Additional District Judge (ADJ)-III Beni Madhav Pandey passed the order after convicting Lakshmi Sahni for raping a widow.
According to public prosecutor Harihar Prasad Singh, Sahni had raped a widow at Asoi village under Bhagwanpur police station area on October 27, 2009 after luring her to go with him to an isolated place in the village.
