Man crushed to death by falling tree

A 55-year-old man was crushed to died after a tree he was cutting fell on him in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir today, a police official said.

He said Gian Chand was cutting a tree in the Sai Ghari area of the district when it suddenly fell on him, crushing him and resulting in his death on the spot.

A case has been registered and the body handed over to the relatives of the deceased after completing all legal and medical formalities, he said.
