Man dies after consuming poisonous substance by mistake

A 35-year-old man died after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance by mistaking it for certain medicinal concoction here, the police said today.

Jimmy Soni, a resident of Asha Park colony, consumed some poisonous substance by mistake yesterday, a police officer said.

He was rushed to a local hospital but could not be saved, the officer said, adding the body was handed over to the family after post-mortem .
