Man dies after fall from roof top

A 65-year-old man died after he fell from the roof top of his house while removing snow in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

Ghulam Nabi Bimla slipped from the roof of his two-storey house in Kapran area of Dooru Tehsil, in Anantnag district, this afternoon while he was removing snow, the police said.

Bimla was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to injuries, the police said.

Heavy snowfall has been witnessed across the Valley since this morning. Removing snow from inclined GI Sheet rooftops is common practice to prevent house collapse.
