A man was killed today after his bike was hit by a truck near Temach village on NH-12 here, police said.
Ranjeet Singh (38) was going home when a truck rammed him from behind. He died on spot, said SHO at Sukait police station Mahendra Maru.
A case of negligence has been lodged against the truck driver, who is absconding, the SHO said.
Meanwhile, in a suspected case of suicide, a body of a 35-year-old youth was found hanging from a tree this morning in Jhotwali village, police said.
Rameshwar Gujjar seems to have committed suicide. No suicide was found from the spot, said SHO at Sultanpur police station Pramod Sharma.
He added the victim was under stress due to a family dispute. We are investigating the matter.
