A worker died on duty at a beverage company in Chatta here, police said today.
Mohan Lal (30), a resident of Shahzadpur working with a beverage company, died yesterday on duty, said SDM Gulab Chandra.
Lal's family members alleged that the company's management had held back the news of his death, he said.
They staged a massive protest and demanded that the company's manager be arrested immediately. They were dispersed after they were assured a compensation of Rs 20 lakh by the company, said Chandra.
A case has been registered against the company's management at Chatta police station, he added.
