One person drowned in a water
channel in Howrah district today, police said.
A group of people had gone to Sehagour for picnic. One of them identified as Sukanta Bhattacharya (42), a resident of Mahisamuri entered the water channel there and got drowned, the police said.
He was rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors declared brought dead, the police added.
