Man drowns in Ganga after falling off raft

A man today drowned in Ganga after falling off his raft in Laxman Jhula area here.

Nitesh Singh (24), a resident of Shivsagar town of Assam, was swept away by the strong current after he fell off his raft near Garur Chatti, Pauri's Senior Superintendent of Police Nivedita Kukreti said.

Efforts are on to recover the body, she said.
