Man electrocuted, another injured in Jammu

One person was electrocuted while another was injured when they were repairing an electric motor in the field in Akhnoor area of Jammu district today.

Balbir Singh (40) and Parshotam Singh (28) were repairing an electric motor in the field in the Pargwal area of Akhnoor when they received an electric shock, a police officer said.

Balbir Singh died on the spot while Parshotam received injuries and was shifted to the Government Medical College and hospital (GMC) in Jammu for treatment, he said.

A case has been registered and investigation is on, he said.
