Man electrocuted while erecting flex board

In a freak incident, a 56-year-old man was electrocuted today when he accidentally fell on an electrical transformer while trying to erect a flex board near Coonoor, about 20 km from here, police said.

The incident occurred when Xavier and two others were trying to erect a flex board for a private company at a height of 20 feet.

While holding the board, Xavier lost his balance and fell on the transformer and was electrocuted, police said.

The other two workers suffered burn injuries and had been hospitalised, they said.
