A 45-year-old man was feared drowned in the Brahmaputra river here this morning, police said.
The man identified as Biralal Mahatu had come from Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district last night. He went to take a dip in the river which was in spate and was feared drowned, they said.
A search by police and SDRF was on to trace the body of Mahatu, they added.
