A man was found dead in a car after the vehicle got submerged in water which entered the basement of an apartment here, where it was parked, following heavy rains, the police said today.
The 25-year-old man, who works as a security guard, had asked the car owner, who was known to him, whether he would sleep in the vehicle and the owner had agreed, police said, citing a petition submitted by the brother of the deceased.
Following heavy rain late last night, water entered the basement submerging the vehicle resulting in his accidental death, police said.
The body was recovered today.
