Man gets 10 years rigorous imprisonment for raping his niece

A man has been sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment by a court here for raping his niece two years ago.

Additional District judge Ram Naresh Maurya awarded the sentence to Raju Pandey for raping the minor daughter of his brother-in-law, District Government Counsel Om Prakash Yadav said today.

According to prosecution, the victim's father lodged a complaint on September 20, 2014 at a police station in Delhi, which was later transferred to Surajpur police station in Greater Noida.

During the trail, 11 witnesses recorded their statement, Yadav said.
