Man gets 12 years in jail for raping minor
A special court here sentenced a man to 12 years of imprisonment for raping a minor girl.
The special judge of (POCSO) court on Friday sentenced Lalruatsanga of Chawlhhmun locality in Aizawl to 12 years of imprisonment for raping the girl last year.
The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000.
It also instructed the Aizawl Legal Services Authority to provide compensation to the victim under the provisions of Mizoram Victims of Crime Compensation Scheme, 2011.
