Man gets 7 year jail in rape case

A local court here today awarded seven years rigorous imprisonment to a man for raping a minor girl in 2012.

The accused, identified as Santosh Savan, had raped the minor after asking her to come to his residence for collecting fuel wood.

Later, on the complaint of the victim, Savan (30) was arrested and a case of rape was registered against him.

After the trial, the District and Sessions Judge, Durga Dabar, awarded seven years rigorous imprisonment to the accused.
