Man hangs himself to death, wife survives suicide bid

A 55-year-old man hanged himself to death at his residence here while his wife survived the suicide bid, police said today.

Rajkumar Goel and his wife Nandini, 55, hanged themselves from a ceiling fan at their residence in Avedbihar Colony last evening, a police official said.

While Rajkumar, an accountant at a women's college, died on the spot, Nandini was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition, he said, adding, family dispute is suspected to be the reason behind the extreme step.
