Madhu allegedly killed his partner R Aparna Devi (30), a private employee, their daughter R Kartikeyini (5), and G Vijaylaxmi (50) in their house in Chandanagar area and also attempted suicide by slashing his writs before turning himself in to police yesterday, he said.
While Devi's body with her head smashed was found in the kitchen, the bodies of her mother and her daughter were found lying on the cot in their house, police had said.
"The accused initially pushed Aparna Devi to a wall and allegedly smashed her head with a pestle. Her mother and daughter were strangled," DCP (Madhapur Zone) Vishwa Prasad said today.
Madhu, a native of West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, had been in relationship with Devi for the last many years.
They couldn't get married as Devi's father didn't approve the match.
Even after Devi's family migrated to Hyderabad in 2004, she continued her relationship with the accused, the DCP said.
In 2009, Madhu married another woman and had two baby girls before he moved to Hyderabad in 2011 and started a mobile repair shop in KPHB area to earn a living.
"Aparna Devi met the accused in Hyderabd and they continued their sexual relationship. The accused used to look after the financial needs of the woman and her family. Later, they had a baby girl," the officer said.
However, when Madhu's wife came to know about his relationship with Devi, she quarrelled with him, the officer said.
Madhu's wife and Devi's family used to pressurise him for his presence as well as for financial assistance.
"Devi and her mother started abusing Madhu over phone under the impression that he cheated them," the DCP added.
Unable to handle the pressure from both the families, Madhu eliminated Devi, Kartikeyini, and Vijaylaxmi, he said.
