Man held for killing six peacocks in Raj

A man has been arrested here for allegedly killing six peacocks by giving them some poisonous food material, police said.

A team of police rushed to the area yesterday on receiving information about the dead birds from the locals, SHO Phulia Sahadev Singh said.

Modu Bagaria of Rooppura village was arrested by Phulia police and booked under Section 9/51 Wild Life Protection Act, he said.
