Man held for rape and murder of woman

A 31-year-old man, who allegedly killed a women after raping her was arrested in Odisha.

He was caught by police yesterday from Jajpur while investigating into the death of a woman whose body was found in a forest of Delang area of Puri district earlier this month, said IG, central range Soumendra Priyadarshi.

The man developed a friendship with the woman, separated from her husband, and raped and killed her, he said.

Priyadarsi called the accused a 'sexual predator' who is involved in rape and murder of four other women.

The IG said he has confessed to have raped and killed four other women in a similar manner by developing friendship with them.
