Man held with country-made pistol

A 23-year-old man was today arrested for allegedly possessing a country-made pistol, police said.

The sleuths of city crime branch unit two apprehended one Santosh Alhat from Pathardi-phata area with the pistol worth Rs 30,000, said Datta Karale, Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime).

A case under relevant sections of the Arms Act was registered and a probe is on, he said.
