Man held with drugs worth Rs 2.30 lakh

Police have arrested an alleged drug peddler and recovered 23 gram of smack worth over Rs 2 lakh in the international market from him, an official said today.

The accused, Bherulal Tanwar, is a resident of Durjanpura in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district, he said.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Tanwar from a bus stand in Biora town near here last evening, said Biora police station in-charge Samaysingh Nagar.

Police seized 23 gram of smack worth Rs 2.30 lakh in the international market from his possession, he said.

A case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against him and further probe was on, Nagar added.
