Man killed in crocodile attack in UP

Body of a 42-year-old man, who went missing on Sunday, was found in Jera Rakhimpur here, with officials suspecting that he was attacked by a crocodile.

Lakhan was missing since Sunday after he had gone to attend nature's call near a pond adjacent to Ramganga river, District Forest Officer Manoj Khare said.

His body was yesterday found with injury marks, he said.

The villager had fallen prey to a crocodile attack, the DFO said, adding his body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

A forest department team has been sent for tracing the crocodile, he added.
