A 50-year-old man was killed and three others were injured in an internecine clash over a petty issue in neighbouring Ranga Reddy district today, police said.
The incident occurred in the evening at Kothagadi in Vikarabad town, when two groups quarreled over some matter, said Vikarabad DSP M Narasimhalu.
During the scuffle, one M Chandraiah was hit on his head with a stick and died of head injuries, the police officer said.
The injured included two accused and Chandraiah's son.
"There was no motive. Nothing was intentional and it was not pre-planned, though one person lost his life in the quarrel," the police officer said.
The injured were shifted to hospital and a case is registered in connection with the incident, he said.
