Man killed over choice of song

A 55-year-old man was killed allegedly after an altercation over choice of a song during a function in Deoria district, police said today.

The incident happened last night when one Videshwari Prasad was attacked by some persons after an altercation over a song he played during a function in Vasudev Chak village.

Police said the victim died on the spot, adding that an FIR has been registered in this connection against six persons of the same village.

No arrests have been made so far.
