A 70-year-old woman was murdered allegedly by her drunk son following an argument in Mohangarh police area here, police said today.
Kundan Singh(34), who was allegedly in an inebriated state, last night hit his mother Abra Devi with an axe after they had an altercation over some issue, SHO of Mohangarh police station, Ganga Ram said.
"The woman received severe injuries on head and died on the spot. The body was today handed over to family members after postmortem," he said.
The accused son, who is a driver, was taken into custody after a case was lodged on the basis of a complaint by his brother in the matter.
