Man kills mother, wife; arrested

A mentally unstable man has been arrested for allegedly killing his mother and wife in Bahbhni area, police said here today.

Santosh Kumar Dubey assaulted his mother Pranmati (60) and wife Sangita with a stick in Sawara village yesterday, it said.

While Pranmati died on the spot, Sangita succumbed to injuries at a hospital, police said.

Acting on the complaint of Santosh's elder brother Azad, police lodged an FIR and arrested the accused.
