Man kills sister-in-law, commits suicide

A 55-year-old man allegedly killed his sister-in-law and later committed suicide by consuming poison at Ghasipura village here, police said today.

The accused, Brijpal was staying with Urmila after his wife's death. Urmila was also a widow but they were not officially married, police said.

After the duo had an argument yesterday, Brijpal hacked her to death and later consumed poison, Circle Officer D K Mittal told reporters here.

Urmila's son has lodged a complaint against Brijpal in this connection, Mittal said adding, the bodies have been sent for post mortem and police is further probing the issue.
