Man robbed off Rs eight lakh

A man was today robbed off Rs eight lakh by unidentified miscreants from a market in Bihar's Madhubani district, a police officer said.

One Gautam Jha, a native of Lakhnaur village, withdrew Rs eight lakh from the State Bank of India (SBI) and put the bag containing cash in his motorcycle's side-box and then going to a market when some miscreants trailing behind him broke open the side-box and took out the cash, the Superintendent of Police (SP) M. Rahman said.

A case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab the miscreants, the SP said.
