Man sent to 7 yrs in jail for raping minor

A man has been sentenced to seven years in jail by a court here for raping a minor girl three years ago.

Additional District Judge Lal Bahadur (2nd) held Pramod Yadav guilty and also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on him yesterday, government counsel Sant Pratap Singh said today.

Yadav had raped the minor, a resident of Revalia village under Huzoorpur police station area of the district, when she had gone to attend to nature's call in March 2014, he said.
